ACTOR and COMEDIAN
Showbiz is in Brian’s genes, with a family background in TV production, he was destined for stardom.. Brian secured his Equity card at the age of 12 and it was only four years later before he was performing a live cabaret routine in nightclubs. He kick-started his TV career as a warm-up man for The Krankies and Terry Wogan, to name a few. But it wasn’t long before he took a star turn in front of the cameras on shows such as Five Alive and Live From The Paladium.
In 1992, he got the the opportunity to front his very own show on ITV, The Brian Conley Show, which at the time became one of Britain’s most-watched entertainment programmes, and where he coined the catchphrase ‘It’s a puppet!’... Let’s just hope he doesn’t get his strings tied up on the dancefloor!
Brian’s career as a comedian eventually led him to London’s West End, playing characters including Caractacus Potts in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Fagin, in Cameron Mackintosh’s Oliver.
