The celebrities taking part in the Christmas Special have been announced and will again see the return of some Strictly alumni.
- Olympic athlete Colin Jackson made it all the way to the final back in the third series of Strictly, finishing runner-up to series champion Darren Gough. He came back for Christmas Specials in 2005 and 2006, winning the 2006 Special with partner Erin Boag. Dancing in another Christmas Special this year, Colin will be partnered with one of our newest professional dancers, Amy Dowden
We'll also see another sportsman coming back to the ballroom, with footballer Robbie Savage returning after finishing 6th in the main competition back in series nine with partner Ola Jordan. This year, Robbie will be dancing with another of the new professionals, Dianne Buswell.
Series 10 finalist, singer and performer Kimberley Walsh, finished as joint runner up to Louis Smith, despite scoring a perfect 40 in the final for her tango, and will be dancing in the Christmas Special this year with her original dance partner, Pasha Kovalev.
Tennis coach Judy Murray originally danced in series 12 with Anton Du Beke when they finished the competition in 9th place despite being bottom of the leaderboard for their last four weeks of her stay in the competition, before leaving in week 8. Returning for Christmas this year, Judy will be dancing with Neil Jones.
Is it really only two years since we watched newscaster and TV presenter Katie Derham make it to the final but finish in fourth place in series 13? After originally partnering Anton Du Beke, this Christmas will see Katie team up with our other Strictly stalwart, Brendan Cole
The final celebrity to return to the dance floor this Christmas will be broadcaster and journalist Jeremy Vine. Also originally dancing in series 13, Jeremy finished the competition in 9th place in week 8. Jeremy will be dancing again with his original partner, Karen Clifton.
