Colin started his career on the stage after being talent spotted while busking outside a London theatre. He has a long established career on the small and big screen, and his most famous roles on film include Alien Versus Predator, Resident Evil and a recurring role in three of the James Bond films in the Pierce Brosnan era. Additionally, he's had a long career on television with roles in a variety of programmes including Prime Suspect, Doctor Who, Law and Order UK, Merlin and Spooks.

Colin dancing in the tenth series of Strictly Come Dancing and was partnered with Kristina Rihanoff. The couple got off to a promising start inthe competition, with Colin showing timing and rhythm and giving a good performance in the cha cha cha, placing them a very respectable sixth on the scoreboard, and the judges were impressed with his Viennese waltz in week two as well. Colin had to film in Canada in week 3, leaving little time for their Argentine tango training, but still produced a good performance. There didn't seem to be any improvement in the next couple of weeks, and in their week 5 foxtrot, saw them finish equal sixth on the scoreboard, but as ever with Strictly, mid table is a dangerous place to be, and the couple were voted out of the competition, finishing in tenth place overall.
