Love the new style design! This site is my Strictly Bible, so please keep up the good work - thank you and great job!
Love the new one page per show layout Claire! Just fab! :D
Hi Claire - thanks for putting together such a fabulous website with all this information in one place - it's really brilliant.
I did notice a couple of things with the music in series 2. In week 1 Diarmuid Gavin danced to "September" not "Let's Get the Party Started". Also, I think the music for Diarmuid Gavin's Paso Doble in week 4 was L'Amour Est Un Oiseau Rebelle (rather than Rouge). Also in Series 2, I think the music for Julian Clary's samba was Conga rather than Congo.
One other suggestion is adding which couple was in the bottom two each week but not eliminated? I realise that's quite a bit of work but it would be nice!
Thanks Claire
Hi Claire. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING WEBSITE!!!
So much information that I wanted to know was all here.
I did spot one error.
Lowest scoring female cha cha cha you said was Heather & Brian S6 and Lynda & Darren S7. I find it very hard to believe that 23 was the lowest ever cha cha cha score earned by a woman on strictly, but it is true. The error is that Felicity & Vincent S8 Week 1 gained 23 points so she should be added to the list.
Apart from that, terrific job.
Dominic
Hi Claire,
Is it at all possible if you could put some vidoes up of some significant dancing performances including judges scores, such as the dances with the highest and lowest scores for each style of dance?
Thanks
Thanks for the question. Hmm, videos are a tricky subject for me. One of the reasons I have no photos and only a few videos on the site is because I don't want to infringe any copyright laws. I've seen many reports of people being told to remove videos from YouTube and I don't want to spend a lot of time looking for videos and adding links or embedding them on pages, only to find they disappear at a later date and I end up with broken links on the site. You may see a few videos around the site, but these are all official BBC videos which have allowed embedding. There are more official BBC videos on YouTube which I haven't got round to adding yet, but I'll try and find appropriate videos and include them on the relevant pages where I can, but it is reliant on the BBC making them available in the first place, I'm afraid.
Having said that, I have had comments from people who visit the site a lot who like the lack of photos and video, as it makes the pages quicker to load and there are no distracting moving images, simply the text and the information they're looking for, so I try to keep them to a minimum for their benefit too. I will strive to maintain a balance between text and other content, and may need to set up separate pages from the text to put embedded videos on, and link to it from the main pages.

What a really useful website this is :) :) At long last I can try & find a certain performance or song easily, without having to refer to books, forums etc etc ! I often enjoy the programme for the music as well as the dances, so having this info in one place & in a user friendly format is just great.
I wondered if, it might be useful to mention which editions have been broadcast from Blackpool on the site as well. I remember it came from Blackpool twice in Series 2, and then once in Series 3., Then nothing until once in Series 7, and once more in Series 8. Those are off the top off my head, Just in case I might be able to help, are there any dances where you don't know the song title ? If you mention them here, I might be able to get them - as I have been watching since series 1 as well.
Once again, a brilliant websiite, certainly not a disasssterrr !!! :):)
I love this site and have it bookmarked! So useful to be able to look up some factoid that has escaped my memory - so thank you very much for all your hard work.
Just wanted to mention that in the section on the American Smooth, I think you have missed out Kara & Artem's final performance last year, in which they scored 37, beating their Blackpool score of 35. Or I missed it. One of the two... :)
Hi Claire,
Just wanted to show my appreciation for the work you do here :) - I love this site and I've learned so much from reading through the statistics! I can get lost in here for hours!
Thanks for doing this and keep up the fantastic work :) It is a mine of wonderful information. :)
Dilly xx
Spotted a small typo on this page:
http://www.ultimatestrictly.com/celebrities/
There seems to be 2 series 3's and no series 2
Great collection of all things simply. Thanks
I have a suggestion about the weekly scores, why not create a table which shows all the weeks along the top and the couples down one side rather than having them as seperate weeks (and also shown who was eliminated)?
Hi Mark, thanks for the suggestion. I'm going to leave the weekly scores as they are, as I like to be able to refer to a week at a time and with the individual pages, and I can list all the details about that week including the song, dance, individual judges scores as well as the leader board and the order of the saved couples. Having said that, I have been thinking about some things I may add or change in future, and this sounds like a good idea to summarize each series, so I may add this at some point, but it might not be until the end of the series when I have a bit more time to tweak the site!
Thanks again for taking the time to leave your feedback, it's much appreciated!
I've just discovered your site - having watched Strictly from day one but forgotten so many things, I can only say thank you so much. I will be a regular visitor x
What a wonderful website, Claire. Thank you so much for your hard work.
I know now where other posters on the DSN Strictly forums get their answers to my questions.
Thank you again
Hi Claire,
Love your website so much! My Strictly bible! So good and hats off to you! One thing I'd love to see is maybe some leaderboards based on the celebrities' professions, such as Soap actors or Sportsmen/women or even narrowing it down to Rugby players etc. Once again, much respect to you! :)
Hi Cam,
Thanks for the feedback, lovely to hear that Strictly fans appreciate the site :)
The leaderboards shouldn't be too difficult to do, give me a few days and I'll see what I can come up with.
I noticed when clicking on Chelsee that in the final you have her jive as 9,10,10,10 but then her total as 40. Which is correct?
Think it's a great site and just thought I would draw your attention to this, it's not a complaint as I think you have done a great job.
Thanks Norms - it was 39, and I've updated it now. I'll go back and double check all the updates from tonight again to see if there are any other errors, but I'm hoping that's the only one! I'm putting it down to the excitement of the night!
