Although Gabby is now known as a sports presenter, she started her career as an international gymnast, competing in the Commonwealth Games. Since retiring from gymnastics, she has presented "On The Ball" and the ITV coverage of the 2006 World Cup football championship. before moving to the BBC to front "Inside Sport" as well as presenting her own show on Radio Five Live.
Gabby is married to Kenny Logan and the pair both competed in the fifth series of Strictly Come Dancing, when they were partnered with another husband and wife - professional dancers James Jordan and his wife Ola. It was well publicised before the competition started that Gabby had been desperate to take part, and even rumoured that she'd had to leave her job at ITV in order to take part. Training footage showed an extremely determined Gabby, who wanted to be as close to perfect as she could be, and it appeared that she was determined to win, but it was really the case that she loved the dancing so much, that she just didn't want it to end. It seemed that the public, however, felt that she was just too competitive, and with what appeared to be some harsh judges scores, she found herself in the bottom two in only week four, facing a dance-off against Penny & Ian. The judges voted to save Penny, and a disappointed Gabby finished eleventh out of fourteen couples.
