HANNA HAARALA
| Biography: | Hanna is Finnish, and as a child was a successful competitive ice skater, but after her cousin asked her to go to one of her beginners dance classes with her at the age of 10, it was just three months later she gave up ice skating in favour of dancing. She studied for four years training to become a teacher of both ballroom and latin dancing, during which time she and her then partner Mikko Kaasalainen were ranked as the number one amateur couple in Finland, competing at international level. The partnership ended after three years, at which time her current dance partner, Andrew Cuerden, flew out to Finland to try out with Hanna. They turned professional in 2005 and competed in the third series of Strictly Come Dancing. |
