HANNA KARTTUNEN

 

 

Biography: Born in Finland, Hanna trained in ballet as well as ballroom and latin as a child before specialising in latin as a professional. As an amateur, she and her partner Jaakko Toivonen became national champions for her home country, before turning professional. As a professional, she competed with various dance partners for a variety of countries, before she teamed up with Paul Killick for the five years before he retired from competition; the couple were extremely successful, representing England and were winners or runners-up in virtually all the major championships. After Paul retired, Hanna changed her speciality, competing with Victor Da Silva to represent South Africa in the style of Exhibition and they won the World Championships and the British Open Championships three times each. Hanna has recently returned to latin american dancing and is currently competing with Slavik Krylyvyy representing Russia.
