LAUREN STEADMAN

TRIATHLETE

Lauren committed to her sporting career at an early age, moving to a boarding school in order to devote time to both her studies and her sport, and competed in her first Paralympic Games in Beijing 2008 as a swimmer, and again in London 2012. After the London games, she switched to the triathlon, and she won medals at the European Championships Paratriathlon in 2013 and 2014 and became the World Champion Paratriathlete in 2015. At her third Paralympic Games in Rio 2016, the paratriathlon was included in the games for the first time, and Lauren won the silver medal. After appearing in the Strictly 2018 launch show, she flew to Australia to compete in the World Championships and regained her World Champion Paratriathlete title.
