Cricketer Michael Vaughan started his county career at the Yorkshire academy and captained the England U19 team on tour against Sri Lanka. He made his Test debut for the England team in 1999 in South Africa. His batting skills were evident as he became the first visiting player for over 30 years to score more than 600 runs in a test series in Australia, with Shane Warne commenting that Vaughan was one of the best batsmen he had ever bowled at. He became England captain in 2003, and without doubt his biggest success had to be captaining the team the won the Ashes series in 2005, one of the greatest Ashes series ever, and Michael received an OBE for his success. Since retiring from the game, Michael has joined the Test Match Special team as a commentator and expert summariser.
Michael will be competing in the tenth series of Strictly Come Dancing and will dance with Natalie Lowe
