Patsy's mother noticed her acting talent at an early age and encouraged her to go to the Anna Scher acting school, and after various roles in television dramas, at 21 she landed the part of Bianca in the BBC soap "EastEnders". She left the programme in 1999, but has since returned a couple of times as one of the most popular characters in the show. In between stints on the series, she took a lead role in the BBC detective series "McReady and Daughter" plus starred in the West End musical "Tell Me On A Sunday", toured with the musical "Steppin' Out" as well as other stage roles.
It was a rollercoaster of a ride for Patsy in series three of Strictly Come Dancing, where she danced with Anton Du Beke. The couples reached the heights of the top of the leaderboard in week three with a sizzling Tango, to the lows of a flat Cha Cha Cha in week seven when two wardrobe malfunctions distracted Patsy from her performance. Suffering from nerves before the live performances and insecurity about her ability during training throughout the week, Anton struggled to get the best out of Patsy, but when she was overcame her nerves, it was obvious she absolutely adored dancing with Anton. Her popularity and personality kept the public voting for her, but in week eight, she found herself in the bottom two up against Zoe & Ian and it was the end of the competition for Patsy. They finished fifth out of twelve couples.
