RACHEL STEVENS
Singer
Rachel grew up in London and started her career in the public eye when she won a modelling competition for "Just Seventeen" magazine when she was 15, before deciding to study at the London School of Fashion. However, it was later with pop group "S Club 7" that Rachel really came to prominence. The band were put together by from Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller, and alongside their pop music career, they made four series of their television programme aimed at their young teenage fans. The series were called "Miami 7", "LA 7", "Hollywood 7" and "Viva S Club", and provided a jumping board for their swansong, the feature film, "Seeing Double", which was released after the band had split. Rachel went on to a solo music career, moving towards a more R&B style of music, and her first album "Funky Dory" was a top ten hit, and was well received by music critics. Rachel has also continued her acting career with roles in films "Suzie Gold" and "Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo".
In addition to her music and acting career, Rachel's charity work has seen her become the first woman to represent the "Everyman Testicular Cancer Awareness" campaign, as well as taking part in the "Make Poverty History" campaign.
Rachel is taking part in the sixth series of Strictly Come Dancing and is partnered with Vincent Simone.
