Robbie Savage is a Welsh International footballer, born in Wrexham in 1974. His career stated as a trainee striker for Manchester United, although he never played for the first team, and moved on to other clubs including Leicester City, Birmingham City, Blackburn Rover and Derby County where he was predominately a midfielder, and was captain of the Derby team between 2009 and 2011. He won 39 caps for Wales, scoring two goals, but retired from the international game in 2005. Following the end of his playing career, he now co-hosts the 606 show on BBC Radio 5 Live and won the Rising Star Award at the Sony awards in 2011.

Robbie will be dancing in the ninth series of Strictly Come Dancing and will be dancing with series seven champion, Ola Jordan
