ROGER BLACK
Sportsman
Roger is a retired world class athlete specialising in the 400m, and during his career won Olympic and World Championship silver medals, individual gold medals at the European Championships as well as team gold medals in the 4 x 400m relays in the World and European Championships. Since hanging up his running shoes, Roger has become on the BBC's commentators on athletics programmes.
Dancing with professional dancer Camilla Dallerup, Roger competed in the second series of Strictly Come Dancing. Although popular with the voting public, Roger never seemed to impress the judges throughout the series, although his best dance was by far the Foxtrot in week four, earning him 29 points but still only making joint third on the leaderboard. It was all pretty much downhill from there, and when his Rumba in week six was awarded a 3 from Craig and a 4 from Arlene, even the public vote couldn't save him, and he finished the competition fifth out of ten couples.
