And so it officially starts! The thirteenth series of Strictly kicked off last night with a launch show introducing our new batch of celebrities and matching them up with the professional dancers who will (hopefully!) teach them to dance.
You can see all the partnerships at the Series 13 page, with links to all the individual celebrity and professional dancers pages, and when the series proper begins, you'll be able to find links to the weekly results pages.
Now, as you've probably noticed, Ultimate Strictly has a new look. I've had to do a major upgrade of the website, and the template for the old design was no longer available. so I had to pick a new one. It's a clean and simple look, although I've splashed out on some photos for the front page, just for a bit more of a statement. From the home page, you'll see menus at the top of the screen to take you to different sections, as well as the links on the photos to take you to the top level pages of the individual topics, and then when you get to a particular topic you'll see all the individual pages on the left of the screen.
Unfortunately, updating the site has taken me a lot of time to transfer all the data over, so I've been a bit behind on updating all the new pages for the new series, but hopefully I'm up to date now.
Over the last couple of years, updating all the pages on the site has taken longer and longer, and it's taken away some of my enjoyment of Strictly itself, so I've taken the decision not to provide as many of the statistics as I've done in the past. Rest assured, all the dances, songs, scores and results will still be there, after all, they're the whole reason I created the site in the first place, but statistics on average, highest and lowest scores for dances, celebrities and professionals will no longer be available. You will still be able to see the highest and lowest scores for dances, as the table containing all the scores from highest to lowest will still be on each dance page, and you'll be able to check individual celebrity scores on their own page. I've kept the pages dedicated to The Perfect Score and The Lowly One as well as the league tables for Professional 10s and Celebrity 10s so there's still plenty to look at.
I hope you like the new design, but would love to hear your feedback, so please feel free to tweet me at @UltimateSCD, leave a comment on this post, or on the Feedback page, and there's also a new Contact form to email me.
