Some specialist dances are unfamiliar to the Strictly professionals, and other professionals are brought in to assist with steps and choreography. Vincent and Flavia were originally brought in to Strictly as Argentine Tango specialist teachers and choreographers, and were then invited to compete in the show.

Some of the dance specialists have become a part of the Strictly family because they've been involved in the show so much, and deserve a special mention here.

Chris Marques and Jaclyn Spencer

Chris & Jaci have been the Salsa specialists on Strictly since the dance was first introduced to the programme.

Chris grew up in France with music and dance in his blood from his Spanish Flamenco loving mother and his Portuguese father who performed as the lead singer in a latin band, but he didn't start dancing until the age of 14. That didn't hold him back though, and won national Latin American titles before deciding to move to London so he could continue to compete on a world stage.

Liverpudlian Jaci began her dancing career much earlier, starting in Ballroom and Latin American dancing as a child winning every medalist competition she entered, and won the under 14s British Open to the World Ballroom Championship.

Together, they were the first non-Latin American dancers to win the the World Professional Salsa Championships, and have taken the title an incredible three times. They've appeared at the world famous Cabaret Tropicana in Havana, Cuba - the first people from outside Cuba ever to perform there, they've starred in the hugely successful stage show, Burn The Floor, toured the UK in another stage show, Cheek To Cheek with Strictly professionals Anton Du Beke and Erin Boag, and in 2006, founded their own dance company called Cuban Groove (www.cubangroove.com).
