Former featherweight boxer Barry McGuigan was born in Clones, Ireland, and represented his country at the Commonwealth and Olympic Games before turning professional in 1981. His career record is 32 wins and 3 losses, and he was the WBA Featherweight Champion from June 1985 to June 1986. He was also voted BBC Sports Personality of the Year in 1985. He retired from his boxing career in 1989, but has continued his association with the sport, and is the Chairman on the Professional Boxing Association.  Barry danced with Erin Boag.



Welsh actress Charlie Brooks studied at the Corona Theatre School and the Arts Educational School and at the age of 18 joined the cast of EastEnders as Janine Butcher. Her character has had some very dramatic storylines and she even had a behind the scenes programme dedicated to her, The Rise and Fall of Janine Butcher. She has won a host of awards for her portrayal of Janine, and in between stints on EastEnders she has appeared on stage as well as other television programmes, such as the BBC adaptation of Bleak House.  Charlie was partnered with Vincent Simone for the Christmas Special.



Multi-talented English actor Debra Stephenson has appeared in television dramas such as Playing The Fieldand Bad Girls, and spent a couple of years working on the ITV soap Coronation Street. She has also shown her musical side, taking part in Comic Relief Does Fame Academy, and although she finished fifth, it did result in her releasing an album entitled "In The Sunshine". But Debra has another string to her bow, as she has also taken a starring role in the BBC programme The Impression Show with Jon Culshaw. Debra danced with Ian Waite in the Christmas Special.



Simon Webbe is an English singer songwriter, who started his career as a member of the successful British boy band, Blue. They had three chart topping albums between 2001 and 2005, and after the band split, Simon launched his solo career including two top 10 singles and two albums. In 2011, after the band reformed, it was announced they would represent the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest, and finished a very respectable 11th place. In addition to his musical career, Simon has also acted in several films, including The Truth About Love.  Simon was partnered with Katya Virshilas for the Christmas Special.



Su Pollard was born in Nottingham in 1949 and got the performing bug appearing in the school nativity play at just six years old and got an apprenticeship at the Arts Theatre in Nottingham, but her big break came with a role in the BBC hit sitcom, Hi-De-Hi! as Peggy, the chambermaid desperate to become a yellow coat. Since then, she has been a regular on television and stage, and for the last three years has toured with the musical Annie starring as Miss Hannigan.  Su danced with Anton Du Beke in the Christmas Special.
