Model and Businesswoman

Although Jo is known to many as the ex-wife of Rolling Stones guitarist, Ronnie Wood, she had her own successful career as a model in the 1970s, before starting her own organic skincare company. Jo competed in the seventh series of Strictly Come Dancing, where she was partnered with the very first professional to win the competition, Brendan Cole.

Jo struggled from the very beginning, and it was often commented that she lacked core strength and this caused most of the problems with her technique. Despite much criticism from the judges, Brendan supported and encouraged Jo throughout the competition, and she always had a smile on her face and seemed to enjoy her Strictly experience. By far her best performance was the Viennese Waltz in week five, but after a return to latin in week six, she was left at bottom of the leaderboard, with the lowest scoring samba in Strictly history, earning just 14 points, and the couple found themselves in the bottom two. To her credit, even in the bottom two against one of the top scoring couples that week, Jo gave her all in the dance off, with Brendan sweeping her off her feet into an unexpected lift during the routine. The pair finished a respectable 11th place out of sixteen couples.
